What - This has got to be our favourite version of one of our favourite grapes!
 
Maison Audebert are a small family estate now run by the 5th generation of the Audebert family. The estate covers 50 hectares with vines in Saumur and vines north of the river in Bourgeil. Whilst not strictly organic they do operate sustainably; only spraying when absolutely necessary and running the winery on renewable power.
 
This gorgeous expression of Cab Franc is crafted from hand harvested fruit which is crushed and fermented at cooler tempratures before bulk aging and bottling. This is everything french Cab Franc should be; alive with notes of hedgerow fruit, damson, mushroom, forest floor and bell peppers. Perfect with spicy charcuterie
