What - The Vesco family took over the Ciello winery over a decade ago and since then they've been working hard to supply thirsty wine lovers around the world with low intervention, organic wines to lure you into the natural way of life. They're dedicated to showcasing Sicily's indigenous grape varieties in an approachable way. We, for one, always love to see it. 
 
For the Ciello Bianco, organic Catarratto grapes are harvested from small plots across Sicily's southern shoreline. The vineyards are planted south-facing on sunny hillsides - the ideal environment for this variety. The juice is fermented with wild yeasts and aged in steel before bottling unfined, unfiltered and with minimal sulphite.
 
If it's a sunny day, you'll want some Ciello Bianco to share with friends, trust. This wine is a cloudy, haze bomb full of smashable fruit and zingy freshness. It offers refreshing notes of lemon juice, melon and pink grapefruit. It's unlike most Sicilian Catarratto you'll try - it boasts an oily texture and a unique gooseberry tang whilst remaining very, very, very drinkable.
